This light does precisely what I bought it for. It fits securely on my hat and the angle can be adjusted easily. The light allows me to set it to wave my hand in front of it to turn it off and on. The light has a very low light setting for my jog in the morning when I really just need people to see me, and it has a very bright setting for working.
I use the light every morning for about 1 hour on the low setting. The light was given to me for Christmas and it just ran out of battery life. It has an LED that blinks to let you know it is running low and that blinked 2 days prior to running out. I let it run all the way out because I prefer to let a battery run all the way down first time. The battery charged very quickly as well.
I'm very pleased.
I've been looking for a light I can use while walking in the early morning that I didn't have to worry about batteries and this unit exceeded my expectations. Size is small and lightweight with a hinge that isn't flimsy. It came fully charged and lasted 5 hours at brightest setting. Now as far as brightness goes, I don't have high expectations. I don't want to trip or step in something and the output in more than enough for me. Charging time is normal and took about an hour to fully charge from 5%. Overall quality is robust and I wouldn't be concerned that it wouldn't work if I dropped it.
Great headlamp. It has multiple output levels. It goes medium, high, low, red (costsant), red (flashing). And it has a motion sensor, that can be turned on to utilize any of the outputs. The motion sensor is close up enough that you can work on things at a somewhat close distance, without turning the light on and off accidentally. Rechargeable. As much as I’d like it to have a external battery (so you could just swap out batteries and not have to wait for it to recharge)....then that would make it heavier. Which it is not. It’s nice and lightweight. Light enough that you can actually forget you’re wearing it.
I have a lot of flashlights and headlamps. This fits a nice little niche. When I'm camping I like to have a light on my hat that's easy to turn on and off. Half the time I'm using it to find something in the tent or on the table. I don't need 1,200 lumens for that. I don't want it any brighter than I need. My night vision is pretty much gone for a few minutes after using some I have. I just need a cozy area of light, which this provides. You have to be within 8 inches of the sensor to turn it on and off, so it's not turning off and on by accident. If I need a bright flashlight, I'll use this to find it in my back pack, where it usually stays while I'm camping.
